What is MERLIN Online?

MERLIN Online was originally developed in 1999 as a way of providing spatial data to interested parties without the need for specialized software and to help interested parties make better informed decisions. Visit the About MERLIN Online page for more information on the history of MERLIN Online.


How do I locate my home?

Click on the Find an address icon located on the bar above the map. A window will appear. Enter Street address in the Street field and the zip code in the Zone field. Click the Locate button to zoom to the address.


I can't see the imagery under the data. Is there a way to adjust the transparency on a data layer?

In the Data Layers window, there is an icon at the top of the window on the right. The icon looks like this: . Click this icon. The window will change and you should see a slider bar under each layer. The slider bar can be used to adjust the transparency.


Can I view historic imagery?

Yes. The historic imagery is located with the Data Layers. Click on the Data Layers icon located on the bar above the map. A window will appear listing all of the Data Layers available. The historic imagery is located at the bottom of the list.
