Data Documentation (Metadata) that's easier to find and understand

Information about all data layers is available by selecting one button (identified by the red oval).

These records are organized to mimic the data layers. In all cases there is at least a brief metadata record for each data layer. In some cases, more detailed information is available. Additionally, dates of source material (such as aerial photography) are also provided as appropriate.

For example, the 2000 Land Use/Cover data layer has a single metadata record, which contains basic information about the data, contact information and other descriptive information such as the meaning of each land cover code.
